Being of LDS faith I often wish how more LDS were models or took modeling more seriously because of the benefits of our health code and how, I believe, can affect overall well-being to the success not to mention longevity in a career that, in the end, relies on looking and feeling our best. Lakshmi Menon is Indian; one of few, if any, of Indian decent making a successful international career out of modeling at age 26. An age where many models would have reached their due date. So the question asked was: “Do South Asian models have what it takes to make it big in the international fashion scene” to “are designers not taking enough risks to include them in their shows.” Or is the real question (as stated in the link): do cultural, traditional/religious values hold one back from pursuing a serious career?
